Van is the owner and founder of Summit Wealth Strategies. He was born and raised in Alva,
Oklahoma and continues to call Alva home. He graduated from Northwestern Oklahoma
State University with a degree in Business Administration in 2007 and continued his
education to later complete his Accounting degree in 2010.
With over 17 years tax experience and over 5 years of financial services experience, he
loves to share his acquired knowledge however he can to best assist clients. Van had the
honor of working under and later, alongside, his stepfather, Steve Knox, for several years
before venturing out to start his own practice. He notes that the wisdom he gained from
Steve has been monumental in building the foundation of his love to help others and serve
in this career field.
Van adores his wife of 14 years, Brittany, who also has ties and a love for NW Oklahoma.
Van enjoys spending time with family, attending OSU sporting events, playing golf any time
he is not in the office, and going to the lake when the Oklahoma weather permits.
Van notes that the most satisfying aspect of his job is working with individuals as well as
families seeking guidance on how to prioritize and plan their tax and financial situations.
He enjoys the process of walking alongside those unsure, confused and overwhelmed by
the decisions that coincide with financial planning. Working with clients to find solutions
that will provide peace of mind and bring confidence in the steps towards meeting their
goals is one of Van's most valued career passions.
